5.2-mile Thomas Hill Standpipe Tour

Today was tour day at the Thomas Hill Standpipe! Mt. Hope Avenue towards town, left on Grove, right on Garland, left on Broadway, right on Cumberland, right on Harlow, cross the Kenduskeag, up Nelson St. (steep hill!), right on Ohio, left on Thomas Hill Rd.

Climbed the stairs of the Standpipe, enjoyed a great 360° view of our fair city, then ran basically the same route back home. A very rewarding Bangor run!

5-mile Mt. Hope Loop

I've posted this one before, but I'm excited about getting back into the swing!

This route has some nice hills, and most of it is on a wide shoulder. Out Mt. Hope, cross Hogan, right at the corner of State (two good hills along the cemetery), along the river and railroad tracks, past the intersection with Hogan, turn right up Dorothea Dix entrance/hill (this hill gets me every time), around the BMHI buildings, through the fields, and back along Mt. Hope.
